This is a 52 year old blended Scotch whisky from Royal Salute, part of the Time Series. It is a limited edition, finished in a single cask for 14 years before bottling at 44.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is intensely fruity, with ripe plums, toffee apples and chocolate-covered hazelnuts. On the palate come sweet marmalade, ginger and cloves, then pears in syrup and liquorice that linger into the finish.
