Rumclub Edition 57 Foursquare Barbados 2016 (50cl, 64.2%)

A single cask rum from the Foursquare distillery in Saint Philip parish, Barbados, distilled in 2016 and bottled at 64.2% vol. in a 500 ml bottle. It matured for eight years in Barbados under tropical conditions and a further year in continental climate, giving a total age of nine years. Limited to 343 bottles. The nose is sweet, with coconut, dried fruit and salted caramel. The palate is sweet, complex and fascinating, with dark oak tones, tobacco and roasted cocoa beans, leading to a pleasant sweetness and a gentle finish.
