Sacred Peated is an English single malt from Sacred Distillery, bottled in 2019 in a 70cl bottle. It was aged in bourbon barrels, then finished in sherry hogsheads in London.
The finishing casks are old Pedro Ximenez sherry casks from Bodegas Navarro in Montilla, Spain. The whisky won Gold in the European Single Malt Premium category at the 2018 World Whisky Masters.
It is described as nutty and rich, with log-fire smokiness alongside sea salt, dried pineapple, cloves, vanilla and Christmas cake.
