Sagamore Spirit Rye Double Oak is a straight rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 48.3% ABV. It is aged for four to five years in high-char new American oak barrels, then moved into toasted wave stave barrels for a further 18 months.
The staves are low-char and medium-plus toast, and their larger surface area adds caramel, toffee, hazelnut and toasted coconut. The whiskey is a Maryland-style rye, brought down to strength with limestone-filtered water from a spring house built in 1909.
