A Sangiovese di Romagna DOC Riserva from San Patrignano. It shows a lively ruby colour of medium intensity for the grape. The nose offers ripe red fruit, cherry and raspberry, with undergrowth and light spice that emerge with aeration. On the palate it has good freshness, present but balanced tannins and a structure that supports the fruit, with a finish tending towards fruity notes and a pleasant savoury streak. Serve slightly cool, around 16-18 C, with a little aeration if preferred. It suits roast meats, sauced second courses, aged cheeses, mushroom dishes, light game and rustic pizzas.
