Sansibar Caol Ila 2009 12 Year Old (70cl, 59.4%)

Sansibar Caol Ila 2009 is a 12 year old single malt from the Caol Ila distillery on Islay, bottled independently by Sansibar Whisky at 59.4% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in 2009 and selected by Sansibar Whisky. It is bottled at full strength and carries the maritime, smoky character associated with Caol Ila. The nose brings sea breeze, peat smoke, lemon zest, vanilla and toasted malt. On the palate there is rich smoke, salted caramel, citrus peel, pepper and a touch of oak sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with peat smoke, sea salt, dry oak and gentle spice.
