Sato Shiki 21 Year Old is a Japanese single grain whisky, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It was matured in a mix of white oak, Limousin oak and sherry barrels. It is distilled in a Sato Still, a design created by Junji Mizue in 1989, at the Sato distillery in Miyazaki Prefecture.
The nose shows sweet custard and dates. Marzipan, honey and roasted grains come through on the palate. The finish is velvety, with subtle sweetness, buttery notes and a hint of mild oak.
