Scallywag Speyside Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (1L, 46%)

Scallywag is a small batch Speyside blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtering, in a 1 litre bottle. It is part of the Remarkable Regional Malts range. The blend uses Speyside malts including Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes, matured mainly in Spanish sherry butts, which give its deep, dark colour. The name comes from a long line of Fox Terriers kept by the Douglas Laing family. The nose is richly spiced, woven with vanilla. The palate brings layers of stewed sweet fruit and dark chocolate with nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is spicy orange with fresh ginger, cocoa and rich fruit cake.
