Seagram's VO is a Canadian whisky blend of over fifty separate whiskies, each aged for a minimum of six years. It is bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle.
The story goes that the blend came out of an after-dinner conversation among the Seagram family, and that the letters VO may stand for "very own". In the glass it is gold with a light amber glow.
The nose brings spicy rye grains, dried apricot, lemon curd and oak. The palate is creamy and medium-bodied, with honey, caramel and coffee, and the finish is medium in length, spicy and sweet.
