This is a 24 year old Canadian corn whisky from a distillery that is not named. It was distilled on 1 September 2001 and bottled in March 2026 from a refill sherry butt, at a cask strength of 67% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration. The outturn was 911 bottles.
Sam Simmons, Master of Malt's Head of Whisky, selected it for the Elbows Up Edition, released for Canada Day 2026. The strength refers to 1867, the year of Canadian Confederation.
The nose offers apple sauce, fresh wood and raisin pastry. On the palate the strength leads, followed by spice, crème brûlée, rum-soaked raisins and chocolate biscuits. The finish is creamy, with vanilla custard, buttered corn and caramelised brown sugar.
