This is a 19 year old single malt bottled by Signatory Vintage as Secret Orkney, from a first-fill sherry butt. It was distilled on 7 May 2005 and bottled on 25 June 2024 at a cask strength of 54.3%, with an outturn of 623 bottles. The name belongs to Scotland's northernmost distillery, in the Orkney Islands, made famous in the late 18th century by the distiller-smuggler Magnus Eunson. The sherry cask lets peat show strongly on the nose. On the palate the peat is more generous, giving way to malty, lactic, fruity and earthy flavours.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
