Secret Speyside 15 Year Old is a single malt from an undisclosed Speyside distillery, bottled by Murray McDavid at 57.8% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery is independent and family-run, and has stood in the Speyside landscape for over 150 years. The whisky was bottled in 2024 from two first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, and spent all of its 15 years in sherry casks that previously held dry, smooth and often nutty Oloroso. It is typically described as sweet malt with dried apricots, smoky roasted notes alongside raisins, and orange peel covered in chocolate.
