Seven Seals Amarone Wood Finish is a Swiss single malt from Seven Seals Innovation in Switzerland, finished in Amarone wine casks and bottled at 46%.
Fruit leads the nose, with dried red berries and stewed apple, then orange zest, toffee, vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. The palate is rich, with wild berries and red-wine-soaked pear alongside caramel, mocha, butterscotch and ginger spice. The finish is medium-long and warming, with coffee, a gentle bitterness and white pepper.
