The Age of Cancer is a whisky from the Swiss distillery Seven Seals in Nidwalden. It belongs to the Zodiac series, in which each bottling is dedicated to a star sign, and this one is dedicated to Cancer. It combines gentle peat smoke with a sherry finish and is released in batches of 365 bottles at 49.7%.
The nose brings smoke, salt, tinned orange and tinned pear, with nutmeg and roasted almonds. The palate is full, round and sweet, with peat smoke alongside pineapple, creamy caramel and hazelnut. The finish is long and smoky, with delicate spice, malt and dried apricot.
