The Age of Gemini is a Swiss single malt from Seven Seals in Nidwalden, bottled at 49.7% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It combines a light peat smoke with a Pedro Ximenez sherry wood finish, and is released in batches of 365 bottles.
The nose offers prunes, open fire, salted pretzels, wine, peanuts and wholemeal bread. On the palate come roasted almonds, cinnamon, wine, coffee, liquorice and overripe fruit. The finish is long and dry, with gentle tannins, shortbread, raisins and a return of the smoke.
