The Age of Taurus is a Swiss single malt from Seven Seals in Nidwalden, from the distillery's zodiac series and named for the star sign Taurus. It is bottled at 49.7% ABV in a 50cl bottle and has a triple wood, double tawny port finish.
This is a limited edition released in batches of 365 bottles, packed in a wooden box.
The nose is intense, salty, woody and earthy, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and cane sugar sweetness. The palate is intense and strong, earthy and woody, with toasted smoke, salted peanuts and sea salt. The finish brings wood, spice, earth, acacia honey and raisins, with a restrained sweetness.
