Shenk's Homestead 2025 Release Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey (70cl, 45.6%)

Shenk's Homestead 2025 Release is a limited-edition Kentucky sour mash whiskey from the Michter's Legacy Series. It pays tribute to John Shenk, who founded the distillery that later became Michter's. The mash has a substantial rye content, and part of the whiskey was finished in toasted French oak barrels from the Vosges region. It is bottled at 45.6% ABV (91.2 proof) in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers toasty burnt sugar, honey and spice. On the palate come dried fruit, toffee, nougat and burnt sugar over a spicy, rye-led backbone, and the toasted oak adds depth to a lingering finish.
