This is a Caol Ila single malt from Islay, bottled by Signatory Vintage for its Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2025 at 17 years old, drawn from a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt at a natural cask strength of 57.7%. The outturn was 677 bottles.
Caol Ila's coastal peat smoke meets the dried-fruit sweetness and spice of sherry maturation.
The nose offers raisins, dried figs, rich sherry, peat smoke and a gentle maritime salinity. The palate brings dark dried fruit, smoky malt, brine and caramelised sweetness. The finish is long, with lingering peat smoke, dried fruit and savoury coastal spice.
