Singleton 15 Year Old Special Release 2022 (54.2%)

This is the 2022 Special Release from The Singleton of Glen Ord, a 15 year old single malt bottled at a cask strength of 54.2%. It spent eight years in red wine casks, which add a winey character with aromas of red wine. Oak spice and fruit sit alongside barley sugar sweetness, balanced by salt and crisp gooseberry. Glen Ord is the only remaining single malt distillery on the Black Isle. The nose is dry and winey, with oak shavings, beech, tart red berries, creamy vanilla and a hint of wax. The palate is lively, turning tart with gooseberry and grapes, and the finish is long and dry with lingering pepper.
