SirDavis American Whisky

SirDavis is an American whisky founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, made in partnership with Moët Hennessy and Dr Bill Lumsden. It honours her great-grandfather Davis Hogue, a moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition. The whisky marries rye and malted barley, combining spicy rye with softer malt, and is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks that add dried fruit sweetness. The nose is Seville orange, raisins, clove, cinnamon, ginger, Demerara sugar and toffee. The palate is buttery toffee and rye spice, then malty, biscuity notes with citrus. The finish is soft and lingering, with honey, sultanas and ripe cherries.
