Slipknot No. 9 Reserve Whiskey (75cl, 49.5%)

Slipknot No. 9 Reserve is an American whiskey bottled at 49.5% ABV, blending straight rye and straight bourbon whiskeys aged for four to five years. All of it was mashed, fermented, distilled and aged at Cedar Ridge Distillery in Iowa. It is a collaboration between the Iowa-born band Slipknot and Cedar Ridge, built around Iowa corn sweetness set against the spice of rye. The grain bill after blending is 51% corn, 35% malted rye and 14% two-row malted barley. The nose brings cinnamon, clove, butter and oak. The palate is buttery and coating, with cornbread, fried apple pie, apricot and macaroon, and the finish runs medium to long with a hint of banana foster.
