The Beverly High Rye is an American whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 48% ABV. It is a blend of 50% straight rye and 50% straight bourbon, with rye the majority grain in the final mash bill.
Each small batch is made at Cedar Ridge Distillery in Swisher, Iowa, using whiskeys selected from Iowa and Indiana. The colour is a deep copper.
The nose offers toasted oak, rye bread, coffee cake and a hint of lemon peel. On the palate come cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar, followed by a medium-long finish of candied pecans, caramel and toffee.
