Smokehead High Voltage is a heavily peated Islay single malt, bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers in a 70cl bottle.
It is bottled unreduced at 58%, which leaves the smoky Islay character strongly marked.
The nose is dense with peat smoke and sea air, alongside vanilla, toffee and oats. The palate is powerful and oily, with smoke, salty depth, nuts, citrus and creamy toffee. The finish is long, warm and smoky, with a salty, spicy trail.
