Smokehead Original is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky made for lovers of heavily peated whisky. It comes from an undisclosed Islay distillery and is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
Wood smoke, sea salt, spice and citrus lead the nose, with honey and vanilla in support. The palate is full-bodied, with earthy peat, black pepper, smoky oak, dried fruit and a touch of sweetness.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke and a maritime character.
