A five-year-old Islay single malt released under the Smoky Scot name by Aceo Spirits. It is made from Caol Ila distillate and matured in oak casks that previously held bourbon. It is bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
A strong smoke profile and maritime notes define it.
The nose is maritime smoke with a salty sea breeze and a hint of bonfire. The palate opens with bitterness and smoke, followed by fruity and sweet notes of lemon, medicinal peat and pepper. The finish is lightly oily, with sweetness rising.
