Smooth Ambler – Contradiction Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Contradiction from Smooth Ambler is a blend of two bourbons, in a 750ml bottle: a wheated bourbon and a bourbon made with rye. The mix is roughly 80 parts of 9 year old Scout to 20 parts of Yearling, a 2.5 year old bourbon aged for 90 days in the same barrels. It was reduced to 100 proof, which is 50% ABV, before bottling. It is typically described as having a gentle, grainy nose with toasty oak, brown spices and dried apple. The palate brings bold spice, vanilla, molasses and maple, and the long finish ends on caramel corn and vanilla.
