South Star Highland 10 Year Old 2011 (70cl)

This is a 10 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, distilled in 2011 and bottled independently by South Star. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The Highland Line appeared on whisky maps in 1784, when customs duties were set lower in the Highlands to encourage local farmers to register their stills. The Highland style is often heavier and slightly spicier than Speyside, though still sweet, and some distilleries keep to older practices that bring peat into the whisky.
