Spadoni Fernet (1.5L)

Spadoni Fernet is an Italian amaro in a 1.5 litre bottle. It is made by infusing herbs, roots and spices in alcohol, with myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile and wormwood among the main ingredients. It is dark brown with burgundy reflections. The nose is rich, with peppermint and eucalyptus alongside bitter chocolate and liquorice. The palate is full and vigorous, with bitterness softened by sweetness and herbal aroma, and the finish is long and pleasantly bitter. It can be served neat, over a single ice cube, or used in cocktails such as the Negroni.
