SpeyMhor The Extraordinary is a 30 year old Highland single malt Scotch whisky, aged in oak barrels and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is golden amber in colour. The spirit's initial sharpness fades with a little air, leaving dried fruit, caramel, vanilla, candied nuts, maple syrup and apple strudel on the nose.
The palate is milder than the strength suggests, opening with peppery heat that citrus and fruit soften, and it ends in a short, sweet, warming finish.
