Speyside Hero III 10 Year Old The Whisky Chamber (50cl, 58.5%)

Speyside Hero III is a 10 year old blended malt from the independent bottler The Whisky Chamber, bottled at 58.5% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It combines Macallan with a little Glenrothes, both from the same company group, and was distilled in 2009. It matured in a single first fill port hogshead, and 294 bottles were filled. The whisky has a very dark red colour. The nose is a round port note with candied dark fruits. The palate is rich with port, candied fruit and spicy oak. The finish is long and complex, with a sweet port note.
