Spiritfilled Mythical Beasts East London Liquor Co Cask 457 (70cl, 59.5%)

A single malt from East London Liquor Co, bottled by Spiritfilled as The Stratford Lyon in its Mythical Beasts range. It was matured in a red wine barrique and is bottled at 59.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The nose combines earthy, savoury notes with stewed pears and apples, marzipan and velvety red wine. The palate is sweet, with figs and caramelised bananas, and the finish is short, with cereal notes and a lingering sweetness of fresh plums. Water brings out bitter almond and marzipan, and opens up banana, custard and a hint of mango.
