Springbank 10 Years is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. The distillery was founded in 1828 by Archibald Mitchell and has never chill-filtered or coloured its whiskies. It carries a gentle peat character.
The nose is clearly grainy, with gooseberry, mango, vanilla pod, grapes and honeycomb. On the palate come oats, malted barley and orange pulp, followed by heather honey, hard toffee, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish has a note of sea salt and a hint of peat smoke.
