Springbank – 12 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 23 (70cl, 55.9%)

Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 23 is a limited single malt bottled at 55.9% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in bourbon casks. Springbank does not chill-filter its whisky or add colouring, and it carries out every stage of production, from malting to bottling, at the distillery. The character is sweet and earthy-maritime, built on caramel, milk chocolate and coastal notes. The nose is mineral, malty and spicy, with peach and sea water. The palate is sweet and dry in turn, with caramel, pears, peaches, citrus, a hint of smoke and earthy notes. The finish is long, mineral and salty, lightly smoky, with chocolate, toffee and milky coffee.
