A 12 year old cask strength Springbank from Campbeltown, bottled as Batch 26. It matures in a mix of casks: 60% bourbon, 35% sherry and 5% rum.
It is described as combining strength, spice and sparkle with a Campbeltown funk. The nose has grilled pineapple, apricot, sea breeze and distant campfire smoke. The palate is creamy, oily and viscous, with pineapple, sea salt, pepper and washed-up seaweed. The finish is medium-long and dry, fruity and maritime, with light peat smoke.
