This is a Springbank 15 Year Old, a Campbeltown single malt matured in sherry casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose shows the influence of Oloroso casks, with cured meat, beef jerky, clove, mint, iodine and tinned prunes, alongside tropical fruit, caramel and a maritime note of lobster creels. The palate is full and rich, with sooty kiln smoke, tobacco leaf, walnuts, figs, Demerara sugar and cocoa. The finish brings soot, leather and walnuts, easing away gradually.
