Springbank 18 Year Old 2018 is the 2018 release of the Campbeltown distillery's 18-year-old single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured entirely in bourbon casks. Springbank states that it has never chill-filtered its whiskies or used artificial colouring.
The nose brings lemon cake with almonds, peach and sponge, with maritime touches. On the palate there is syrup, freshly squeezed lemons and carrot cake, with dried banana, coconut and butterscotch behind.
The finish carries gingerbread, liquorice and Madagascan vanilla, with a little mint.
