This is the 2022 edition of Springbank 18 Years Old, a single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in 35% sherry casks and 65% bourbon casks, and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
The nose opens with honey, syrup and pastry, then ripe strawberries, mineral notes, some smoke and a little ginger. The palate is full and syrupy, with hazelnut, maple syrup, liquorice and dark berries. The finish is long and spicy, with dark chocolate and oak.
