Springbank 21 Years Old is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. It was matured in fresh sherry casks and refill sherry casks, and the distillery has never chill-filtered or added colouring to its whiskies.
Sherry leads the aroma, alongside raisins, almonds and marzipan of the kind found in Christmas cake. The texture is full, rich, oily and creamy.
The nose is creamy, with soft toffee and cereal, later turning to fresh strawberries and ripe watermelon. On the palate it is full-bodied and creamy, ending on sugared almonds and a hint of cinnamon. The finish is very long and sweet.
