This is a 21 year old single cask Springbank, distilled in 1993 and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was selected by the independent bottler Berry Bros & Rudd for its Berrys' Own Selection, from cask no. 220, for Charles Hofer SA.
It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is heather, plums and peach, fairly dry with a touch of honey, a slight waxy note and a little leather. The palate is very soft, with caramelised fruit, raisins, blackcurrant, cinnamon and vanilla, balanced by oaky dryness, subtle wood smoke and a hint of the sea. The finish is very long, with aniseed and raisin sweetness.
