A 25-year-old Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, released in 2021 in a 70cl bottle. Only 1,400 bottles were produced.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: 70% sherry, 15% bourbon and 15% rum.
The nose opens with rhubarb, tropical fruit, golden syrup and shortbread, followed by coconut shavings, barbecued meats and sugar cane. On the palate come almonds, pecan pie and butterscotch, with building peat, cigar box and old library notes, and a salty, briny edge. The finish has a hint of peat smoke, bung cloth and molasses, with sweet prosciutto.
