This is Springbank 25 Year Old, a 2022 limited edition single malt from Campbeltown, in a 70cl bottle at 76% ABV. It was matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose opens with parma violets and rhubarb custard creams, then a fresh spritz of grapefruit and malty honeycomb sweetness. The palate is rich and chewy, with vanilla, fudge, tobacco and cured meats. The finish brings coastal, earthy dunnage warehouse notes alongside honey glazed ham and waxy orange rind.
