Springbank – Local Barley 11 Years Old 2023 (70cl, 55.1%)

Springbank Local Barley 11 Years is a Campbeltown single malt in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 55.1% ABV. It was distilled in May 2011 from Belgravia barley grown locally and bottled in December 2022, in an edition of 15,000 bottles. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour. The whisky matured for 11 years in a mix of 55% ex-sherry, 35% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-rum casks. The nose is fruity from the start, with papaya, mango, lemon and a subtle floral note. Citrus carries on to the palate alongside manuka honey and pear, and a salty, mineral note develops. Gentle peat smoke rounds off the finish.
