St. Magdalene – 19 Year Old 1979 Rare Malts Selection (70cl, 63.8%)

This is a 19 year old Lowland single malt from St. Magdalene, distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1998 as an official release in the Rare Malts series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 63.8% ABV. The distillery closed in 1983, during the wave of closures across the industry, and this is one of the few official bottlings to come out of it. It has collected a number of scores above 90 points from the Malt Maniacs.
