Stauning Bastard is a Danish rye whisky bottled at 46.3%, a new interpretation of the distillery's own rye. It spent three years in virgin oak, followed by six months in casks that previously held mezcal. Those mezcal casks came from Oro de Oaxaca, a producer with 80 years behind it. The whisky brings Mexico and Denmark together in one bottle.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
