Stauning R.Y.E. PX is a Danish rye whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. It is made from locally grown rye and barley, floor malted on site, and double distilled in small copper pot stills heated by direct fire. The spirit matures in virgin oak and then has a long finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which adds darker fruit and warm sweetness without hiding the rye.
The nose offers warm spices and dark dried fruit. The palate shows caramelised fig, ripe plum and toasted oak, with velvety sweetness set against rye spice, and the finish is long and fruity.
