Stranahan's Diamond Peak 2024 Edition is the third limited annual release of Diamond Peak, an American single malt from Colorado. It is a marriage of whiskeys aged six to nine years, distilled from 100% malted barley and first matured in virgin American oak.
The whiskey was then finished in rum casks from the Dominican Republic, Barbados and Martinique. It is cut to proof with Rocky Mountain water and is non-chill-filtered.
Tasting notes point to dried apricot and crème brûlée on the nose, bright tropical fruit over brown sugar on the palate, and a viscous sweetness with a hint of cola spice in the finish.
