Stranahan's Mountain Angel is a 12 year old American single malt whiskey matured in port wine casks. It comes from Stranahan's Distillery in Denver, Colorado, at 5,280 feet, the state's first distillery since prohibition.
The whiskey is made from locally grown Colorado barley, proprietary yeast and Rocky Mountain water, and is produced in limited runs. Only four ingredients go into it: the barley, the yeast, the water and time.
