Strathclyde – 1987 35 Year Old The Whisky Trail Knights (2022) (70cl, 46%)

This is a 35 year old single grain whisky from Strathclyde in the Lowlands, chosen by Elixir Distillers for The Whisky Trail Knights series. It was distilled on 3 September 1987 and bottled on 3 November 2022, after maturing in a single bourbon barrel, cask 62309. Only 175 bottles were filled, each of 70cl at 46%, without added colour and non-chill-filtered. The label is a stained-glass design showing an armoured knight. Vanilla, oak, caramel and soft spice are the flavours typically associated with it.
