This is a single cask Strathclyde, a 16-year-old Lowland single grain Scotch whisky distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2022 by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular series. It comes from cask 15590, a single refill barrel that yielded 299 bottles at 48.4% ABV. That is one of the strengths Douglas Laing prefers, and close to 85 Proof in the old UK measure. The whisky is bottled without colouring or chill filtration, in a 70cl bottle.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
