Strathisla – 1989 26 Year Old Distillery Reserve Collection 50cl is a whisky from Strathisla (Highlands). Aged 26 years, bottled at 57.6% ABV, 50cl. Perhaps Scotland’s prettiest distillery, the distinctive double pagodas are much photographed by tourists and whisky fans alike. Due to the connection with the adventurous James Barclay, Strathisla is at the heart of the Chivas Regal and Royal Salute blends; indeed the distillery’s visitor centre is called, “The Home and Heart of Chivas Regal.” As well as existing as a component in these popular blends, there is a 12 Year Old core expression and a cask strength Distillery Reserve Collection bottling. Chivas Brothers have created a Distillery Reserve series and a special Cask Strength range uniquely available at distillery visitor centres. The expressions are bottled at cask strength to offer the enthusiast something different from the core range bottlings usually offered by Chivas Brothers: a special reward for fans prepared to make the pilgrimage. Please note some wax seals are prone to cracking in varying temperatures and transport conditions, therefore - as stated in our terms and conditions - we do not accept liability should these seals be found to show signs of splitting on delivery.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
